How to Care for your Cutting Board

Your board is handcrafted from natural materials and built to last.

With a little care, it will serve you beautifully for years to come.

🧼Cleaning

  • Wash by hand using mild soap and warm water

  • Wipe clean and dry immediately after washing

🌬️ Drying & Storage

  • Dry thoroughly after each use

  • Store upright on its edge to allow airflow and prevent warping

🌿Conditioning

  • Treat 1–3 times per month (or as needed)

  • Use food-safe mineral oil or a quality board conditioner

  • Apply a light coat, allow it to absorb, then buff dry

🍋 Odor Removal (if needed)

  • Scrub with a halved lemon and coarse salt, or

  • Use a light white vinegar rinse

  • Rinse and dry thoroughly afterward

⚠️ Important Care Notes

  • Do not place in the dishwasher

  • Do not soak or submerge in water

  • Do not use cooking oils to maintain your board (such as olive or vegetable oil), as they can go rancid over time
